Green, Green, Green Lane

This trip to Green Lane was a kind of "Get back on the horse," trip. After losing the Accord and replacing it with a rather nice looking 1998 Civic (with much better driving characteristics), I wasn't yet ready to strap any boats on top and test the combined aerodynamics at highway speed.

Easier, instead, to throw a paddle in the car and jump in the boat already out at Green Lane. Easier, yes. But still, no less creepy to paddle around in the biotic broth of that reservoir.

Realizing that I was pretty well done with the place, I determined to paddle
as far south as I could get. I guess I got to about the mid-point of the lake.

The water was an unbelievable Gatorade color.

Along one shore, I found the remnant of a rock quarry.
