If you look closely along the lower edge of the bow, you can see a telltale shadow. This is a dimple in the hull, fairly noticeable on this side but also present on the other. It's likely the result of a retail store display rack pinching the keel. At first, I was concerned that this irregularity would affect the way the boat performed in the water. As a result of today's lengthy paddle, I can say with some relief that it doesn't seem to have any effect at all.
