An ill-starred outing with Dave Butler. First, it rained while trying to load the boats. We got completely soaked. Fortunately, we had taken the time to fit the cockpit covers on the boats.

The sky was overcast and gray. On the map, deep creek looked like a nice two or three mile trip at the foot of the Green Lane reservoir. That was on the map. In fact, there wasn't much water at all in Deep Creek.
