The purple line describes my route. About 4 miles up and back.
Offloaded and ready to launch.

A heron or an egret or some kind of stilt-legged bird.

Heron again. I watched him eat a fish.
Easily spooked, the heron takes flight.
...Flying away.
The geese let me know when I got too close.
Down at the marina, an unusual fixed-keel sailboat.
It was a good day for sailing. Stiff breezes.
By midafternoon, there were several canoe and kayak gorups.
